Product Description

Tired of squeezing into confining mummy bags? Turn to the Teton Sports Celsius XL oversized sleeping bag, an extra-large bag that's ideal for campers of any size. The Celsius XL--which offers a temperature rating of 32 degrees F (or 0 degrees C)--is filled with SuperLoft elite four-channel hollow fiber insulation, which helps keep the chill out on fall, spring, and summer evenings. The bag also offers zippers on both the left and the right side, so you can zip two Teton bags together and create a double bag for couples. Best of all, the bag comes with all the bells and whistles of more expensive bags: shoulder and zipper baffles, an adjustable mummy hood, an interior storage pocket for keys and valuables, and an oxford nylon compression sack for easy packing. The Celsius XL bag comes in black, blue, and olive green colors.

This bag is big, I mean really big. But that's ok, so am I at 6'1" and 250 pounds. It should be big enough for a seven foot tall 500 pound linebacker or two average people and their dog. I'll have plenty of stretch room. I have three issues with this sleeping bag. First, the cotton liner is attached only at the zipper and the foot. While using it, this liner is loose and moves independently from the rest of the bag, resulting in me becoming twisted up in the liner when I turned. I had to get it sewn to the rest of the bag. I'll see if this reduces the warmth. Second, the hood would fit someone with a head about two feet across. Third, the stuff sack that it came with is way too small and I had a wrestling match getting it back in. I bought a much larger compression bag to be able to pack it. Would I buy this again? No. Maybe the dog will like it.

Purchased a left & a right zippered sleeping bag. Wanted to zip them together to be large enough for 2 comfortably. Works great, lots of room, great length for tall people (I am 6'3"). Very comfortable, but a little tough to zip together, but not a big deal.

"Nice and warm..."

Bought 2 of these for my Grandson and me to go camping together. Bought a Left and a Right so we can zip them together if needed to stay warm. Not a problem, these bags kept us warm and snuggy.

This sleeping bag is alright. It is a workout to roll up and pack into the carry pouch. I slept with it in 40 degree weather on the side of the mountain and felt very cold all night. The zip together feature is cool for sleeping with someone else. This could also have benefited from more padding, felt stiff all night.

"One big bag!" 2010-03-02
By Paul Claxton (RIverside CA)
This is a just huge bag. I bought two to zip together for my wife and I. When combined the two are bigger than a double air bed mattress. In use the bags are comfortable but ... but the way the combine is odd. My older bags unzipped in an "L" manner so that they open flat with a top and a bottom and zippers on both sides. These Teton bags zip only down one size and combine zipping together in the middle. What this means is that the center zipper needs to be opened to climb in and out rather than the side zippers of my older ones. If one person in the bag is warmer than the other the only place to get a draft is in the center again. The seam isn't too objectionable. The compression bags are good. Starting the zippers together it a bit tougher than it needs to be as they're really tight, another 3/8th of an inch worth of slack would have made it far easier.
