"great bag great service" 2010-06-26
By G. Wood (Port Townsend, WA USA)
I just wanted to say that this is a great bag for the money. The other review was spot on in that there are few bags under $100 that will provide the warmth that this bag does. We just purchased a matching set of high peak 0 deg bags and I was happy with it after our first night at around 40 deg, but my wife was cold and she is now the owner of this -40 deg bag. If she is cold the next time out I may just buy a goat she can sleep next to.

As for the service, it was perfect. Not only did [...] send it Fedex at their expense to get it to us as quickly as possible, they provided great follow-up on the order and added a free LED flashlight and a bag of sweet pea flower seeds to our delivery as a thank you - good business practice in a world that is usually far to busy to remember the importance of personal customer service.

Another great purchase from Amazon.

We highly recommend business with both Amazon, and their affiliation with people like the family owners of [...] goes a long way toward keeping Amazon as the go-to place for online shopping!

"very happy" 2010-02-03
By Jonathan Bodemann
I got this product yesterday, and wanted to test it out. I ordered two because we camp almost every weekend. So I set up Tent outside on my patio (while it was snowing) with my girlfriend. First let me start by saying there was no option for left or right side zipper, so I was VERY impressed to receive one left zipper one right. It was snowing and 20 degrees last night. I did not have a mat for the inside of my bag, but i used a foam one on the outside. I was very very warm. I am new to sleeping bags, and this is my first winter bag, let alone mummy bag. I had read the description and didn't realize what i draft tube was, or a chest collar.

The Chest collar helped immensly. it has a draw string on it, once you complete the circle around your neck with the velcro, you can close the gap to your neck, containing all the heat.

I am 6'2" and 200 pounds, (athletic) and I had plenty of room to move, I even could slide down in the bag more if I wanted, with around 6 or so inches of room. I remember thinking (wow my 6'6" brother could fit in here.)

The Draft tube along the zipper did its job, I felt no cool air seeping in.

The zipper was thick and tough, while it got caught a few times(i was messing around with it) it was pretty easy to go up and down without problems.

Where my head rested was extra cushion and was VERY comfortable, barley need a pillow.

The material is thick and comfortable, i would be comfortable out in the wilderness without any pads, it simply has alot of cushion.

The only thing I have to note - my face was freezing, so while the bag may go to wayyy lower temperatures, i feel as if I would not be able to, maybe im a wuss, then again i didnt pull the bag closed around my head. I simply rolled over in the bag and pushed my face into the bag and warmed up. (lol). I certainly will be using it all winter. I will probably experience colder temperatures in which case i will edit and see how it does around 0 degrees. I am pretty sure it will preform just as well.

Also for anyone who was wondering I was wearing sweat pants, and sweatshirt. Nothing under either, no socks. feet felt warm all night.

Let me tell you my main concern when first purchasing this product. PRICE

I saw -40 deg, and 100 dollars, seemed too good to be true. I ordered assuming I would return because the price was so low, I figured the material would be cheap, things would tear, and problems would erupt.

I was taken when the box came, I had known the bag was large and weighed more than most mummy bags. It rolls up to the size of old school sleeping bags that you tie the rope around (maybe a TAD smaller than them). So I would not exactly advise using it for backpacking. (i camp right out of my car or not far from it) So aside from the size and weight I would highly advise this bag.

"Create for a weekend trip" 2010-09-13
By leo
Used this bag twice to go camping/hiking. Had all the right pockets to fit all of my gear. The straps were comfortable and there was just enough space for all of my "just in case" items for this weekend trip. Looking back though, it was a tight fit, and maybe the next bigger size would be worth the money.

The only things I did not like about this bag were that there were loose straps everywhere once you got everything strapped in. It looked kind of messy, but it didn't bother me that much since hey, we're going camping, big deal. But I did look at the picture and my bag for awhile trying to figure out how they got it so neat, and mine looked so messy...? Another gripe I had was that the right shoulder strap kept coming loose after about 3 hours of hiking with a full pack. It was pretty annoying and I ended up having to tie a knot so it would not come loose again.

All in all, a good bang for your buck compared to comparable, more expensive bags out there.

"Great pack for the buck" 2010-07-09
By George
I went backpacking on superior hiking trail in Minnesota. The pack handled great on a four day 22 mile trip. There was plenty of room for all the items needed and additional items could be hung on the outside (such as a sleep mat, which is a must for the back). The shoulder and waist starp could be easily adjusted. If your a small size this pack is deffinetly not for you. I'm 32 and i had to nearly adjuted all the way. The rain tarp which is included came in very handy when heavy rain hit us. The only negative thing about this pack is if more pockets where available. I do recommend this for anyone in the medium size.

"Pack need better description" 2010-06-05
By Ronald F. Long (Walla Walla Wa. USA)
I purchased the pack as a extended weekend pack for my 19 year old son. He is 6'0" and weighs 220 lbs. This pack is listed as a 55 Liter pack. It is. It is well made and I will keep it for my wife. When he took it out of the box he tried it on. I looked at the packing materials. It is listed as a slim fit. It is for women and kids. It has a max waist of 32". This is not in the description. I wanted a full sized internal frame pack for him. The brochure that came with the pack clearly shows it as slim fit and lists the proportions. The ad does not. It would be great for youth and women, but I do not feel it is a good fit for adults. It is a good weekend pack and I am keeping it for my wife. The ad needs to show the brochure which clearly show High Sierra packs and who they fit and size.

"Solid backpack for less than $100" 2010-02-01
By E. Salas (San Francisco, CA)
I purchased this pack for a 3 day, 22-mile backpacking trip in Yosemite. The pack proved to be both reliable and comfortable with 45 pounds of gear stuffed into it. Comes with a spacious main compartment with an additional slot for a water bladder and complimenting guide to thread your mouth-piece through; plus, a lower compartment for a well-compressed sleeping bag is separated by a strong, zippered flap. The numerous straps/loops on the exterior creates almost limitless surface area for additional equipment. Additionally, a hidden pocket on the bottom hides away a sweet water proof cover for the pack in the event of a downpour.

The only real issue I found with this bag was its tenancy to loosen at the hip belt. For some reason, every half-hour or so, I found myself re-tightening the belt. Also, the shoulder harness anchor squeaks a bit.

All in all, for my first pack, I found this piece of equipment to be invaluable in what turned out to be a fantastic weekend backpacking through Yosemite.

"Adjustable EVERYTHING!" 2010-01-25
By K. D. Kaszynski (Costa Mesa, CA)
Everything on this pack is adjustable! I got it for my boyfriend so he can join me on some backpacking adventures and it is perfect for his size (5'10 and 180lbs), and just about any other size since EVERTHING IS ADJUSTABLE! There's a lot of usable space and it is fairly light (not carbon fiber light, but it's pretty light for the size). The only reason this pack didn't get the five star rating from me is that it's not as light as it could be, but that's sometimes what happens when you use the thicker threading (which is more durable) and put in that back padding that this pack seems to have a lot of. The boyfriend says it is comfortable, so there you have it!

"Great tent for mild use or beginners" 2010-10-12
By DB from NC (SouthEast, US)
Just came back from our first camping trip this weekend with the kids. While the instructions are not great, if you have ever put up a tent before it should not be too much of an exercise. Wife and I put it together in about 25 minutes or less.

Very roomy inside and accommodated two queen mattresses and we had an area left over for storing clothes and supplies. A sub-six foot adult can stand straight up in the center. Note that the shape of this tent is more similar to a crescent then a rectangle.

Has some pockets inside and fabric dividers if you choose to separate spaces. I liked the built-in shoe area where you can store dirty footwear outside of the tent and access them from either inside or outside. Had no rain, so cannot speak to it's water tightness.

"Tent" 2010-09-13
By Diana Salazar
The tent was a great purchase. It has work great for my family and me. We have used it several times now. Only one thing is that it is a five pole tent and for some someone with no tent experience may have a little bit of trouble getting the tent up by them selfs, it may need to be a two person job. If you are an experience camper then this tent would be great for you.

By Gina M. Friend (il)
I recently bought this tent and have camped in it one time, for three days and it was awsome I love it with or without the rain cover on it. it was big enough for four people and pleanty of EXTRA room for everything and it has two places for your shoes on each sides of the door for your shoes you zip it and dont have to worry about spiders getting in them!!:) when you take off the rain cover it is like you are sleeping outside without the bugs Yahoo.... it was so nice i could live in it for awhile !! i would tell anyone to get this tent i cant wait to go again!!!

"Ok, but Not as expected" 2009-05-30
By Jason Martin (CA but camped in AZ)
Barely fit two queen blowups. No walking room left. center height is really like 5 ft 5 inch. Really disappointed w/ zippers. Kept catching and teeth kept getting snagged. Almost cetain next trip they will be toast. Only used once so far. Blows in like crazy in the wind. Decent price of 110 or 120, but maybe better off buying two 8x8 tents. Didn't use the room dividers so can't comment there. Wasn't really room to divide the space. Maybe would have resulted in rooms to small to use. I will definately bring duct tape to fix zippers just in case from now on. wouldn't want scorpions or spiders or flying critters coming in uninvited. Hope this review helps you. Really a balance of quality and price. I rate overall quality a 7 out of 10. But I expect to get a 8 or 9 product for spending over $100.

"Quick and Affordable Bench Seat" 2010-05-25
By Jason A. Lytle
A perfect companion to any parent who watches little league games or soccer games, I purchased this 3 person bench for my wife and me, not a sport's team. It's light-weight, easy to carry, comfortable, and easily portable. As a husband and parent of a 1 year old, all three of us fit on the bench while we watch our older son play. It's also compact enough to take in our RV for our many weekend trips and campfires. Very well constructed, this bench fits very nicely in the provided carrying bag. And for under $60 (before shipping) I would definitely buy again. All around, a very good Amazon purchase.

My own kids play competitively but although I have higher level credentials, I coach a rec team. This was just the ticket to give my players a little taste of what select teams take for granted. We're the envy of our opponents too!!

"Great GPS, but takes patience!" 2010-10-16
By B. MacAllister
I am an experienced GPS user and have owned this unit and tested it on several backcountry hikes to get used to its capabilities. The unit itself if great! Compact, lightweight, and highly accurate. It seems rugged enough. The screen is readily visible even in bright, high-altitude light. Buttons are solid and responsive. Customizing options are extensive, and the unit's inherent capabilities are great: tracks, sun and moon, tides, routes, altitude, compass and much more. The owner's manual is extensive and pretty easy to follow, and this turns out to be important, because neither the unit nor the base mapping system (you load in your computer) are particularly intuitive.

I have not had any problems working through the functions of the GPS itself, but even as a highly experienced map user, the DeLorme Topo 9.0 that comes with the box, turns out to be rather difficult to use and non-intuitive. (For example, after hours of effort, I am still unable to download routes from the computer to the GPS unit, or determine any cause for this problem.) Uploading routes from the GPS to the computer map on the other hand seems to work ok.

The built-in help system available in the Topo 9.0 program contains extensive tutorials and samples. However, when troubleshooting, the system is inadequate at best and contains no troubleshooting section in the help system. Thus, you have to rely on user forums for advice.

I only recommend this unit to experienced users who are also pretty tech-savvy and willing to put some work in up-front before hitting the trail with the unit.

"Accuracy is important to me" 2010-09-21
By Ruben
I returned my other GPS because it always had me driving off road even on the major roads.

I mainly us it for GEOCACHE and it is difficult setting thing because the instructions are so vague but easy to do now that I have it worked out.

I like the accuracy and being able upload current area maps, especially satellite images overlay the map.

Improvements: bigger screen and camera feature.

"My Delorme PN-60 Hand held Gps" 2010-09-11
By Flowcon
I bought this hand held @ sports athourity found that online price was $ 379.00 and in store at $300. At the time of my purchase they ran a promo $100 gift card for any purchase over $300. I paid $259.00 with 2 year warranty. I think this is one of the best hand helds on the market ( in it's class) the only thing is I feel the screen size could have need alittle bigger. But even still HD screen, all maps included, batteries, SD card, and $40.00 credit to download satalite images in HD (very cool!!!!) worth the money any day has alot of features that are not listed but are in the manual. This thing is built to last and I'm sure it could take big hits and not skip a beat. Full package! Check my review for the mounting bracket.

"Everything I needed, plus more" 2010-09-02
By Patrick
I realized I wanted a GPS when I discovered geocaching, it took me one time going with a friend to find a cache and then I was hooked. I did however, spend at least 2 weeks shopping around, reading about GPSr's from every company I could learn about, and then narrowed it down to a few. Both Delorme's were in my radar, as well as the Garmin Oregon, Dakota, and GPSmap series. My friend owns a GPSmap60csx from Garmin, and I must admit that those have extremely exceptional accuracy, which most reviews and forums will attest to. I also learned that the Garmin Oregon and Dakota have had issues with attaining WAAS satellite locks, which took them out of the picture. These WAAS satellites give a much more accurate reading, and when you're looking for caches in thick woods, pinpointing the area is crucial. What made me decide on Delorme over the GPSmap is mostly the software that Delorme offers. From my experience with both GPS', the Garmin may be slightly more accurate in readings, by about a foot, which is a negligible amount. Having said that, back to the software, Delorme's Topo NA software is incredibly in depth, (although not very intuitive). As well as Delorme's map subscription package, you have many options for how your GPS will portray its data to you. I mean, for adding the $30 subscription to your total price, you have access to satellite images, USGS quad maps (which is amazing!), aerial photos, nautical maps, canada topo maps.... it just can't be beat. And with the Topo software, you can layer and customize all the maps to work together as one super map on your GPS. Not to mention the Earthmate PN-60 has a much nicer, newer interface than the Garmin GPSmap.

All in all, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase of this product. It offers everything I wanted for geocaching, plus with a car mount, this works very well as an in car navigating GPS, and for bicycling too. Also with the nautical charts it will work great for boating and fishing as well. Many reviews I read about this GPS complained about the screen being too small for a car, but for someone with avg-good eyesight, it is perfectly readable. Lastly, I would seriously recommend buying this from Amazon, as I got impatient and bought it from a different store, which had the best price with my coupon added on. But to my dismay, only 2 days after I purchased it elsewhere, Amazon dropped their price almost $100 cheaper than they had had it listed for. So I say for this new listed price on this product, it is a steal!

"Great for Cycle Caching" 2010-08-25
By Dr. C
I upgraded from an Explorist 100, so this was quite a change.

I've been Geocaching for a couple of years now and one thing I really like is cycle caching. For me it is going on a bike ride with the goal of getting at least one cache. It gives me some extra motivation to get out there and ride.

The PN-60 is ideal for this application because it can do a street as well as hiking route to the cache. If I'm far away, I'll set the route to be driving and it will give me turn by turn instructions on how to get to the cache. Once I'm within striking distance I switch to route by hiking and I can zero in on the cache.

I usually use a pocket query from [...] to load all the caches in the area I'm riding. That way, if I'm riding along and decide to go for another cache, I can discover one close by.

"Ecellent tent" 2010-09-27
By vektron
I usually do not review products, unless they are worth reviewing. This is a great product, easy to assemble and sturdy. I have a large SUV and was able to connect it to my car with little effort.

The problem is, if you need to use the car, attaching it again takes some guidance, but nothing out of the ordinary.

Lots of windows and pockets to keep handy stuff, E.g. flash lights.

The top has loops for a net, but we used them to hold a battery fan, we slept in comfort, specially with a queen inflatable mattress, which fits very nicely with room to walk around.

I got a tarp at Homedepot to place on the ground. This helps protect the bottom as well as provides a floor for the side room. If you are neat at folding, you will be able to fit the tarp together with the tent in it's bag.

Hope this helps.

"Great SUV Tent for a frugal "glamper"" 2010-09-09
By R. Naku
I attach this tent to a 2005 Honda Pilot and the connection between tent and turnk seals very well (don't expect an air-tight seal, however the seal is definitely good enough to keep critters out of the tent). I'm not the most "outdoorsy" person by any means so the 83000 provides 2 of us with AMPLE room to roam around the tent and screen room (I purchased the footprint from Sportz as well for the screen room and a 10x10 blue tarp with metal grommets as a footprint for the tent itself). It definitely is a heavy sucker and took about 45 minutes to setup the first time in the dark with only the headlights of my truck and a headlamp (we got to the campsite late!). However, the 2nd time we used it, it took only 10-15 minutes with 2 people (incl. laying down/securing both footprints). It's SUPER comfortable, allows for access to the trunk of the truck, and if you need to leave the campsite to go explore the park, I can definitely close the trunk of the car and ARM the alarm while gone - all while keeping the tent connected to the truck. Overall it is an awesome purchase at a great price (especially on amazon with the free shipping and no tax!) for folks that need a little extra room for stuff like myself (a nice way of saying "high maintenance"), for families needing a little more space, or for folks who want all the "homies" to stay in the same tent/living space.

"Great Tent" 2010-09-03
By Vegasgun (Las Vegas, NV)
This tent set up easily with two people. It is high quality with durable zippers. It is easy to drive away from and return to. The hookup to the van was simple and quick. We used it with a 2004 Mercury Monterey Premier and it fit perfectly. It is luxurious tent camping to be able to sleep in the back of the van and have the tent for room and eating when wet. I would recommend this to all minivan people. Shipping was very fast.

"Luv my tent/great service!" 2010-08-30
By Melanie Deschamp (Newburg, ND United States)
I bought my Ford Edge last year, saw the pix with a tent hooked on the back of it and wondered if I could:

1.) set it up by myself
2.) take it down by myself
3.) drive away and back up to it again easily, or at least a do-able option if I wanted to.
4.) be comfortable sleeping in the 'bunk'(or otherwise known as: the back of the Edge)

This year, I was still pondering if I should just try it... I wondered if this middle-aged woman should/would even attempt to go tent camping, since she had not for many years...and never alone...would I enjoy it? WELL, I took a chance and the answer to all four questions is YES!! I placed my order thru Amazon.com, and it was delivered within one week.

I love camping alone and I LOVE my Sports SUV Tent. I spent a few weeks camping in two states, thru lots of nice weather but also fairly intense North Dakota summer storms---of which may have contributed to a cracked pole. I contacted the Sportz company by e-mail, and no questions asked except where to send the replacement. Once again, great customer service---within one week, Sportz sent me not one, but two new poles.

This is one of the best purchases I've made in a long time...I LOVE the adventures it has given me! I appreciate the added security of sleeping in my 'bunk', and having this large tent and screen Room for my living area. I recommend it to everyone who may be interested in getting back to nature.

"SUV Sportz Tent" 2010-07-02
By B. Kaiser (Byron, Ga USA)
I was a little skeptical about this tent fitting my rig. I have a 2010 Silverado 1500 ext cab with a high rise A.R.E camper shell. It took a while figuring out what went where, but after I got it installed, I was impressed. Everything fit like it was supposed to. The quality seems very good. I water-proofed it with water repellant spray purchased from Wal-Mart. (as instructed)The 'Boot' fits around the bed end of the camper/truck bed as advertised. I bought this as a replacement sleeping arrangement when we tow our boat versus our camper. So far, I have been impressed with it. We purchased the attaching screen room also (floorless). Nice addition which adds more interior bug free space. Sportz SUV Tent with Screen Room

"I LOVE this carrier" 2010-09-29
By Tracey Ramos
This carrier saved my life on my recent trip to Europe. I could not have gotten my DS to sleep without it.

-----[ POSITIVES ]-----

Full Buckle On/Off

I had a few baby carriers (sling and wrap) but was looking for one that would allow for quick on/off in a plane as well as an easy way to remove my sleeping baby and put down if needed (bassinet on plane; crib while visiting). The full buckle of the Ergo made both of these possible. I had to put my DS in the Ergo on the plane to get him to sleep. Once he was I just reached back and unbuckled the top buckle and let the Ergo fold off of him. I could easily put him down in the bassinet from there.

Weight:

The Ergo really does transfer your baby's weight to your hips instead of feeling it in your back. My DS does not go to sleep easily nor does he like extended time in strollers. While traveling he spent ALOT of time in the Ergo - especially on the days we flew. I never reached a point where I felt like I just couldn't have him on me anymore.

Hood:

I LOVED the hood feature of the Ergo. This came in so handy when my DS was sleeping or in bad weather.

Wear Under Coat:

I thought this worked well under my coat. The Ergo kept my DS close to me so he was warm. Then I just brought the bottom of my coat around his legs and barely zipped it so it stayed shut.

Sucking Pads:

These are not included - they cost extra - but I think they are worth it. My DS immediately starting sucking on the straps so I ordered the pads. They are much easier to wash than the whole Ergo.

Good for male/female:

My DH isn't too keen on wearing a wrap but would totally wear the Ergo. The buckles make it easy to adjust for him or me.

-----[ NEGATIVES ]-----

I do love this carrier, but I agree with some other comments here.

Bulky:

When not wearing the Ergo it is bulky to carrier around, but for me it's worth the hassle. I just shoved it in the stroller basket.

Cannot Face Out:

The down side to the Ergo is that you cannot wear your child on the front facing out. This is a bit of a disadvantage when compared to a wrap. My DS is a very active, interested-in-everything type guy and I know would rather face out so he can see everything.

** I have not tried the hip hold yet with the Ergo - this could be an option for him.

-----[ KEEP IN MIND ]-----

Some of the negative comments I've read here I don't think are a negative reflection of this product. Baby wearing is extremely unique to each parent and child. Part of it is just finding what works for your and your baby's preferences. I would really recommend mother's groups (such as LLL) or anywhere you can try on samples. In my area one mother's group has a baby wearing sample library where mom's can check out carriers to test them out before purchase. It's important to learn what you baby likes before spending serious money on carriers.

"Love my Ergo!" 2010-09-21
By Leah
I love my Ergo! I'm able to carry my 3 month old son hands-free and he loves it! He can easily cuddle up to me and sleep or look around at his surroundings. My sister has a (BIG!)15 month old and she's able to carry him around just as easily in her Ergo. The only minor complaint I have is that I'm petite (5'2 and around 115 pounds) and I wish I could make the shoulder straps a little tighter. I get them as tight as I can and sometimes I wish I could tighen them to get my son a little closer to me. (He's able to curl his back in "half fetal position," which I feel like could be bad for his back.)

By boochris (SAFB, Germany)
I have heard great things about this product. The thing that was most appealing was that you don't carry the weight on your shoulders like most carriers, instead it is more on your hips. I guess I should have done a little more research or tried it on first though. Upon receiving, it made me feel a little self conscious. I had to extend the belt to its fullest in order to even put the thing on. Then I am a little busty, so my son seems to be smoothered in it. I hope this will change soon and he will learn to like it.

"Amazing for Hiking with Toddlers!" 2010-09-09
By Networking nut (Los Angeles, CA USA)
I just got back from a 4 mile hike with my 2 year old. He LOVED this carrier. He always loved being in the Baby Bjorn when he was an infant, but he outgrew it and I was so happy to have found the Ergo carrier. He loved the piggy back position and was so comfortable and when he got fussy, I just turned him around to face me and he couldn't have been happier. I would definitely recommend watching the DVD that shows you how to use it because if you are putting your baby on your back by yourself, it could be dangerous if you don't know what you're doing. I found the DVD to be simple and give great visuals of how to do this safely. I couldn't be more pleased :)

"Anything but 'ergo'" 2010-06-08
By M. Barker
I have never felt the need to review anything in the past, but I feel this product is terribly over-rated. As an avid backpacker I am well used to carrying 40 plus pounds for many miles a day for a week at a time, and understand the importance of a balanced pack that fits well and distributes the load correctly. No matter how much I adjust it, the Ergo just doesn't work for me. It has a nice wide hip belt, but unfortunately because the shoulder straps re-attach to the pack too high up toward your armpit, baby's weight sits not on the belt, but almost entirely on the point of your shoulder, which in the forward carrying position pulls your shoulders forward. In addition the pack is a full 13.5 inches wide at the bottom where baby sits, requiring the poor child to split her legs straight out sideways to get into the carrier, which my 4 month old finds unbearable. The infant insert deals with this by providing a little cushion for baby to sit on, however now the legs face forward straight into your just-had-a-baby sized tummy where they get squashed once the pack is done up. Its also very, very hot for baby and wearer alike, and I find it awkward to get baby in and out of safely - one clip is located directly between your shoulder blades! I tried my best to love it for a full 4 months, but it just doesn't work for me, my husband or my baby who screams every time I put her in it. I now have a BabyBjorn model with extra back support which we are thrilled with.

"Great Table" 2010-10-09
By A. Stoddard (Los Angeles, CA)
This table is great for weekends away. It rolls up into a small, easily packed size that makes it much easier than folding leg style tables for camping, tail-gates, etc. I'm going to purchase the shorter legs to attach to this table so it's perfect height for the beach. A little pricey but it should last a long time and provide use for many activities.

You'll love it.

"Great Camping Table" 2010-06-08
By Josh G. Raney (Fayetteville, AR)
Got this table just about a month ago and have already taken it to a state park for camping, a three day canoeing trip and a 4 day music festival. It's great to have around to sit stuff on, cook on or even eat on. It's fairly lightweight and sets up with extreme ease and is very easy to clean. I had looked for a while at a variety of tables and decided on this one and I couldn't be happier with the decision.

"10 years and still love them!" 2008-07-06

This is the best camping table in the world! Lightweight with a strap make them ideal for bringing along for a picnic, camping, river rafting and so much more! We've even used them at home when we need an extra table for a party or for poker nights. They set up and clean up so easily, you will not regret buying this table!

These tabels are excellent. They are so easy to assemble a child can do it. I prefer the vinyl top to other wooden slat roll tables for their ease in clean up. The legs and brace bars fit onto the side pocket and roll up for lightweight easy packing or carrying. I have purchased these tables as gifts for friends an family and highly recommend them.

"Perfect for a beach towel!" 2010-10-07
By H. Johnson (Los Angeles, CA United States)
I bought the extra-large to serve as a beach towel on a trip where I wanted to pack very light. It worked perfectly! Not as plush as a normal towel, certainly, but big enough to lay out on and very absorbent.

"So soft" 2010-07-30
By R. Bouas (South Korea)
This towel replaced an older, uglier travel towel that I lost. It's completely worth the price! The color is wonderful, even after several washes. It's soft and though it has that sticks-to-your skin issue when you dry off (as many of these travel towels do) it was bearable. Plus, it truly is super absorbent and dries out quickly. A must for any backpacker.

"Fantastic Camping towel" 2010-07-09
By Inspector
There is no other addition to this towel that would improve its design or functionality. This little piece of microfiber cloth is light, absorbent, and quick-drying. I have never had a problem with this towel, and, on the contrary, it has come in handy nearly every camping trip I've taken.

Bottom line: this towel is useful for most camping situations -- whether on snow, on the trail, or in the water -- and it has never let me down. 10 out of 10!

"great little towel if you don't mind the price" 2010-05-23
By J. Haug
I bought a similar towel when in Afghanistan and was shocked by how unfulfilled it left me. Yes, the cheaper army towel soaked up tons of water but it wouldn't easily ring out, resulting in an uncomfortable cold sensation akin to the feeling of wearing a cold wet cotton t-shirt around at a theme park before summer's truly kicked off lol. Chilling is not something I associate with a towel. This towel however is equally thin and lightweight, but exceeded expectations: super absorbent (shockingly so), surprisingly soft, has the attached hanging loop, it's possible to ring it out and keep using to some degree, and it dries fast. To further drive home my point, the Sea To Summit's small sized towel is a fourth the size of my similar army towel and yet the Sea To Summit does a better job drying me off. Ignoring body coverage, the small is 100% adequate with drying you after a full shower. That said I did get my wife a large because she likes the sensation of being wrapped when toweling off. One last thing worth noting- these towels build stink at about twice the rate of your traditional hotel-type towel. I assume it's because these towels have so much less cloth and therefore your body funk gets all concentrated. Bottom line: very glad I purchased this towel.

"Great towel" 2010-02-21
By TLynn (New Haven, CT)
I purchased one of these for my backpacking trip to Australia and it worked great. You can completely soak the towel and hang it to dry and it will dry completely so quickly. Folds up nice and small so it's great for traveling when you don't have much room in your suitcase. Lost mine at a hotel so I purchased another one for future travels.

"Heavy Duty Camp and Emergency Stove" 2010-09-30
By R. Norton (Illinois)
This is your basic single burner propane outdoor stove. It works with 1 lb. propane bottles for portability and, with an adapter hose, can be connected to a 20 lb propane tank. I use one of these regularly and enjoy using it. If you get one, here are a couple of tips. 1) Get a Stove Tamer, Stove Tamer 6, so that you can use smaller pots, tin cups, etc. or to simply have better control over the heat. It will allow you to get a better low temp simmer without worrying about the stove blowing out. 2) The pot rack will pull free from the plasitc legs allowing you to give the stove a good cleaning without working around the rack. Once its dissasembled in this manner you can throw it in the sink and wash it like you would any other pan. I used one of these on the patio all summer for making coffee in the morning and side dishes when grilling out. I did not have any problems. Prior to purchasing this stove I used a Coleman Fold'N'Go. Since I never needed two burners on the patio I packed the two burner stove with the camping gear and use this guy exclusively.

"Great addition to my camping gear." 2010-09-27
By Dr. Jeremy
I am a pretty avid hiker/camper. We needed a burner that could use those readily available propane tanks. This one works great and does not take up too much space. Even better, it uses the same fuel as our light uses. I have also used this at the home to steam clams and mussels to avoid smelling up the house. Boils water very quickly and was great to cook on.

"exactly what I need" 2010-08-11
By P. Bornestig (Vancouver BC Canada)
Looked for some time for a stove like this. The other single burners just would not work on my sailboat, they have the tank fastening to the bottom, therefore taking up valuable space below the counter and just being awkward to use if set on top of the counter. I almost purchased a butane single burner,as they sit flatter, but found this before i did. I have propane onboard and want to stay with the same fuel. The base has been said to be larger than some like, but it's perfect for me. My coleman coffee maker sits on it just right and the rubber feet keep it from sliding on the counter in my boat. Not a backpackers stove, but that's not what I wanted. Buy it, it's great.

"Effective but bigger" 2010-08-07

The Coleman 1 burner stove is very effective but bigger than I expect. Rapidly boil water on the campground.

"great for boaters" 2010-06-22
By Beverly J. Talbert (Medford Ma)
This coleman stove is perfect for making coffee on our boat on Sunday mornings. The boat has an alcohol stove in the cabin, but flares up and constantly has to be filled. This coleman stove can be used in the cabin or on the deck. We love it and also plan on using it at home for a barbeque as an extra burner for saute'.
