More than 100 years ago, a young man with an entrepreneurial spirit and a better idea began manufacturing lanterns in Wichita, Kansas. His name was W.C. Coleman, and the company he founded would change life in America. A man plagued with such poor vision he sometimes had to ask classmates to read aloud to him, Coleman saw a brilliant light in 1900 in a drugstore window that stopped him in his tracks. He inquired about the light inside and discovered he was able to read even the small print on a medicine bottle by the illumination. The lamps had mantles, not wicks, and were fueled by gasoline under pressure instead of coal oil. Soon afterward, Coleman started a lighting service that offered a "no light, no pay" clause--a big step forward for merchants who were burned by inferior products that rarely worked--and drew substantial interest from businesses that wanted to keep their lights on after dark.
In the ensuing years, Coleman expanded its product line well beyond lanterns. The company's current catalog is thick with products that make spending time outdoors a pleasure. There are coolers that keep food and drinks cold for days on end, comfortable airbeds that won't deflate during the night, a complete line of LED lights that last for years, powerful portable grills that cook with an authentic open-grill flame, and much, much more. Coleman has truly fashioned much of our outdoor camping experience, and expects to do so for generations to come.

I love this tent, it's the best I've ever owned.
1. Easy setup, large and spacious for a tent. I took my Mom and sister camping several times this summer, and this tent did not disappoint. It takes about 5 minutes to set up, and is very roomy. We fit two queen-size air mattresses inside with room to spare.
2. Nice and dry, no leaks, no tarp needed. Every single camping trip we went on this summer it rained at least one night. We had a torrential downpour and still stayed dry inside the tent. The only thing is Michigan is a pretty damp place, and sometimes there was condensation built up on the inside roof of the tent and it dripped a little in a few places when the sun came out, but it's not a huge problem, unless it drips on your face while you're asleep!
3. Sturdy structure. Unless you live in a super windy place, this tent is sturdy. During one of the nights we were camping, we had a thunderstorm with 40mph+ winds, and the tent stayed put.
The only thing I don't like about the tent is the bag it comes in. It's a bit too small, and is sometimes difficult to get the tent back in if you don't roll it up TIGHT.
The tent weighs about 35lbs, so don't take it backpacking!

I was concerned when I bought this tent about the reviews that said there was no ventilation do to no rain-fly. That is not quite accurate. Some of the windows are made so that they do not `totally zip closed, but do look like they will keep out the rain (unless it's raining *up* from the ground) {it did not rain on our camping trip, but I still don't see the rain getting in those windows}. I did notice that at some places (near the zippers and such) there was some fraying of the tent material after just a few hours of the tent being used. I was NOT happy with this, but a quick (and exceeding *CAREFUL*) fusing with a lighter and this seems to have stopped (we'll see on the next camping trip).
I LOVE how fast and easy this tent goes up and down! We took 2 tents on our trip last weekend, the Coleman instatent, and a small 4 man dome tent for our Cub Scouts. It took us a lot longer to set up and tear down their little tent than it did our big 8 man tent.

A friend suggested to get this instant tent for our camping trip back in August and was I glad to have found this product here. With all the specifications that Im looking for; easy to set up, enough space for 4 & windows to cool the 90+ degree, I was definitely glad to find that the price was also reasonable. Out of the 6 families that went with us, 3 of us had the instant tent! Definitely a good buy and a highly recommended product!

Great large tent. Easy to setup and take down. Tent is huge and has great vetalition. We had a full queen aero bed and had plenty of room for 2 more paeple and all gear. Windows open up on one side like a screen porch. Not 100% water proof. Camped in very bad rain and tent leaked. Not a lot but enough to be annoying. Also hard to keep clean because you can't shake it out like normal tent due to it's design. Overall easy very large tent for the price.
