About ColemanMore than 100 years ago, a young man with an entrepreneurial spirit and a better idea began manufacturing lanterns in Wichita, Kansas. His name was W.C. Coleman, and the company he founded would change life in America. A man plagued with such poor vision he sometimes had to ask classmates to read aloud to him, Coleman saw a brilliant light in 1900 in a drugstore window that stopped him in his tracks. He inquired about the light inside and discovered he was able to read even the small print on a medicine bottle by the illumination. The lamps had mantles, not wicks, and were fueled by gasoline under pressure instead of coal oil. Soon afterward, Coleman started a lighting service that offered a "no light, no pay" clause--a big step forward for merchants who were burned by inferior products that rarely worked--and drew substantial interest from businesses that wanted to keep their lights on after dark.

I will be searching for a different cooler, as this one is now leaking. That's after replacing two sets of hinges.

Just finished a four day float trip in 80-90 degree day weather. I loaded it with 2 blocks of ice, and now I have ice left over at home. I'm sure the Ultimate Extreme cooler would perform much better but you definitely sacrifice space. I bought this at a much lower price at a retail store though. Maybe with the "Ultimate Extreme" cooler you can buy less ice therefore actually having more space?
I would buy this cooler again in a heartbeat.

Cooler is a great size - very managable. I use it for the beach and keep both drinks and food in it. Stays cold a long time.

This cooler is a wonderful size. I put two cases of water in it for the water park and there was still room left over. That's the only time I've used it so I hate to be negative but I didn't think the ice lasted any longer than it normally does in our other cooler. It was 100 degrees that day in Texas though so it still met my expectations.
