The stove's PerfectHeat technology, meanwhile, employs recessed cook tops and lowered burner positions to generate efficient cooking heat. And thanks to the WindBlock side panels, the burners can stave off the elements while you cook. (The side panels also fold down to form side shelves for condiments or utensils.) So give yourself the gift of convenience and serious cooking power with this durable camping stove from Coleman. About Coleman
The Coleman Company has been creating and innovating products for recreational outdoor use since W.C. Coleman started selling gasoline-powered lanterns in 1900. Victorinox Heritage
The Victorinox Swiss Army Knife is more than 100 years old, and was legally registered on June 12, 1897. More than 34,000 of these useful pocket-size multi-tools with leave the factory in central Switzerland each day, and feature the distinctive Swiss cross. Ninety percent are for export to more than 100 different countries and serve as ambassadors for Switzerland. Karl Elsener, the company founder, wanted to create work in sparsely industrialized central Switzerland and counter the emigration spawned by unemployment. To go from hand-crafting to industrial production was at the time adventurous and required enormous determination. Today, this family business in Schwyz provides 950 jobs. After the soldier's knife, which every recruit receives upon entering the army, Karl Elsener developed a new, elegant and lightweight pocket knife, with six practical tools. He called this new model the "Officers and Sports Knife."
After an unparalleled success story around the world, the Victorinox Swiss Army Knife is even orbiting the earth as part of the standard equipment of the Space Shuttle crew. The knife has also been successfully proven on expeditions: in the arctic ice of the North Pole; on the highest peak on earth, Mount Everest; in the tropical rain forests of the Amazon, and elsewhere. Time and again, it has been a life saver in situations of extreme danger and great need. The New York Museum of Modern Art and the State Museum for Applied Art in Munich have selected it for their collection of excellence in design, and, since Lyndon B. Johnson, US presidents present guests with Victorinox pocket knives.
Today, the Officers' Knife is available in more than 100 different models. Each knife must undergo seamless quality controls before being released for sale.
Did you know?
The largest model of Victorinox knife is the SwissChamp with 33 features. Over 450 steps are required in its manufacturing process.

Amazon.com Review

Amazon.com ReviewJust when you thought Garmin had cornered the market on powerful, affordable, and effective wrist-mounted GPS devices, here comes the Forerunner 305. The release of this device is a major achievement from a design and technology perspective. This isn't just marketing-speak; the Forerunner 305 is the most accurate, most reliable wrist-mounted performance and GPS tracking tool we've ever tested. Yes, it's that good. While no device this compact can do everything (yet), the 305 pushes the boundaries of what is possible from something strapped around your wrist. The 305 model includes wireless heartrate monitoring and it can also be connected to Garmin's wireless bicycle speed and cadence sensor. If you don't need these features, consider the lower-priced Forerunner 205. View Garmin's Forerunner demonstration video.

Design
The 305's design is a radical departure from Garmin's previous generation of wrist mounted GPS devices, which reached a pinnacle with the Garmin Forerunner 301. While the 301 delivered accurate heart rate monitoring, good performance tracking, and decent GPS reception, it didn't quite deliver in the design department. The form factor was bulky and wearing it wasn't much different than duct taping a full-sized GPS device to your wrist. Not so with the 305. Garmin's engineers obviously burned the midnight oil and have come up with a waterproof design that, while certainly not as small as a sports watch, feels just as comfortable. The curved casing allows the unit's antenna to face the sky when you're running, while the widescreen display is perfectly positioned for viewing when you need it. And the display certainly deserves a few kudos. While it's smaller than the display found on previous Forerunners, its resolution is far higher, offering incredible clarity and crispness.
Garmin has smartly given the 305 a simple button layout and the buttons have a nice tactile feel with good pressure response. The right side houses the menu selection and enter buttons, while the left houses a power/backlight button and a mode button. This simple and elegant solution is a big improvement over the sometimes confusing button functionality of previous Forerunners. View button layout.
The underside of the 305 is pretty nondescript, except for a row of contacts that interface with the included charging and data cradle. The cradle is small and unobtrusive and its single mini-USB port connects to either an included AC adapter, or a USB cable that connects to your PC. In addition to data transfer with the USB cable, you can also charge the 305's embedded lithium-ion battery via a powered USB connection from your computer.
GPS Performance
The big news about the Forerunner 305 is that it features an integrated, high-sensitivity SiRFstar III GPS receiver. What does this mean? It means that the 305's ability to both track, and maintain a lock on, your position is better than anything before it. After an intial battery charge, the tester had the 305 on his wrist and was tracking speed and distance with GPS satellites within 3 minutes. The next time we used the 305, satellite acquisition was nearly instantaneous. A run through dense trees didn't faze the unit either; tracking remained true and steady. Performance on a bike was equally impressive. Whatever witchcraft has been cooked up by the designers of the SiRF technology, we like it!

The simple docking cradle makes charging and data connectivity a snap.
While the Forerunner 305 isn't billed as a GPS navigation device, it does have some rudimentary mapping, waypoint marking, and routing capabilities. In addition to marking locations along your journey, you can zoom in or out of a simple map that displays your current direction and path. There's also a "go to location" feature that routes you back to your starting location, or to any location you have defined. Once you have defined several locations, you can save this information as a route, allowing you to travel the same path in the future. As you'll see below, the 305's new "Courses" feature gives you new levels of control over how you define your favorite runs and rides. Training Functions
The 305 is first and foremost a training tool, and its ability to organize a ton of data types into a user experience that is intuitive and simple is no small feat. Whiz-bang technology aside, if you can't use it and make it a natural part of your exercise routine, it's worthless. When it comes to these factors -- and here's the take home message on the 305 -- this device is successful where many other devices fail.
The heart and soul of the 305 can be found on the data screens, which give you real-time information about all aspects of your workout. In fact, the 305 can display a dizzying array of data, such as calories burned, distance, elevation, grade, and heading, as well as multiple lap and pace modes. The 305 adds the ability to track heartrate, lap heartrate, average heartrate, and heartrate zones via the included coded heartrate chest strap. With the purchase of a separate wireless cadence and speed meter, you can also track bike performance data.
Thankfully, the device makes it easy to define how much or how little data you want to view during a workout. You can arrange the data that's most important to you and then make that data appear front and center on the device. Indeed, within a few minutes of skimming the manual and fiddling with the device setup, you'll have your most important data displaying just the way you like it. The ability to display heartrate is a big plus, too, as it's a fairly good indicator of excercise output, fatigue, and fitness level. The 305 has all the heartrate functions you'd expect from a full-function monitor, including the ability to set target zones and alerts to maximize the effectiveness of your workouts.
Garmin's Virtual Partner function was cool feature of previous Forerunners and they've decided to keep a good thing going with the 305. If you're the type that performs best when you've got a competitor egging you on, you'll love this function, as it allows you to set up virtual running or biking companions that compete against you.
If you're looking for an complicated workout with a variety of intervals and intensity levels, or just a quick three-mile jog against your best time last week, the 305 has you covered. Navigating to the Workouts menu on the device yields three options: Quick Workouts, Interval, and Advanced Workout. A quick workout is just that; set the distance and time, distance and pace, or time and pace of your planned workout and off you go. Interval workouts are just the same, but they allow you to add repetitions and rest between them. When you really want to get fancy with your exercise, you can step up to advanced workouts, which include goals for each workout step, as well as varied distances, times, and rest periods. You can use the Garmin Training Center software to set up these workouts and then upload them to the device.
Computer Connectivity and Software
Garmin has been outfitting their devices with USB connectivity for some time now -- a welcome move for those who struggled with serial port connections in the days of yore. Thanks to USB, the 305 integrates seamlessly with the Training Center software and we quickly had workout history uploaded and stored on the computer. Not only does Training Center--which is compatible with both PC and Mac--make it easy to track your performance, you can graph data such as heartrate alongside your speed and distance. Over time, this is a great way to view your fitness levels increase, and it also helps you see what types of workouts are necessary to strengthen your weaknesses. For instance, if you see your heartrate begin to spike after a certain distance, you know you need to increase your endurance workouts to train that area of fitness.
In a first for the Forerunner series, the Training Center software also lets you define courses on your computer that you can upload to the device. When course information is combined with uploaded workout information, the Forerunner becomes a complete guide, telling you where to go, when to make a turn, and what kind of workout to do when you're on the road or path. Back on the computer, the software's ability to overlay workout data on maps of the course makes it easy to see where the course offers up the tough hills and the easy recovery spots. Plus, the ability to track historical performance on a given course is a great way to measure your improvement.
The 305 is also fully compatible with Garmin's MotionBased service, which takes your training to another level by connecting your data with the Internet. While we weren't able to use the service, the promise of sharing courses, maps, workouts, and performance data with other users is intriguing. And if you're a serious endurance athlete, you'll be glad to know that the 305 is also compatible with TrainingPeaks.com, an easy-to-use web based training system designed to help athletes train for any event.
Pros
  • Radically new design is better in every way
  • Amazing accuracy and fast satellite acquisition time
  • So simple to set up and use, you will actually use it
Cons
  • Okay, it's bigger than a sport's watch -- but so much more powerful
What's in the Box
Forerunner 305, Garmin Training Center CD-ROM, heart rate monitor, docking cradle, expander strap, A/C charger, USB cable, owner's manual, quick start guide.

A must have. Its a bit plastic feeling, but if it can help u sleep, who cares about the feeling.

I couldn't say how they hold up, as I don't intend to use them unless I have to, but I wanted to note that I did not recieve a four-pack of those shown above. I recieved 4 individual packages of a brand not shown when I ordered this. Fine with me, but if you're shooting for something specific, you may not get it.

"Great quality, easy to use" 2010-08-01
By A. Lang (Boston, MA)
I love this little stove. The cartridges are easy to insert. The flame is even and brings a pot of water to boil lightning fast. I would highly recommend this over an electric hotplate.

"Best Camping Stove Ever!" 2010-07-21
By Alicia Keenon (Phoenix, AZ USA)
This little stove is amazing. I bought it last year for a trip to the Grand Canyon. It is easy to use and burns very hot. Boiling water? Presto! I cooked quite a few things on it - all with great success.

When we made crepes at my cooking group, I brought the little stove and it was a great addition to the big stove where the main course was being prepared.

Be advised - the fuel is not obtainable at "normal" stores. I thought I would be able to get it, but no. I ended up ordering a case of fuel from the seller. Fortunately it arrived in time for my trip. I will have fuel until all eternity, since it's a lot - 13 bottles, if I remember correctly. In a year I've used 2.

That is however the only drawback. Just relent and order the fuel along with the stove. The stove is awesome.

"Not a bad burner" 2010-07-02
By BigKahunaBerger
This burner is slightly bulkier than the other portable tabletop gas stoves I have, but I like the metallic finish on it.

Only complaints are that the new pan that came with it was already scratched, but the pan was cheap anyways. In addition the flame does not look as hot as some of my other burners, which are using the exact same refillable gas cartridges.

"Lighter weight than shown." 2010-06-12
By Lincoln County MT (Extreme NW Montana)
Great lighter weight over all weight even in it's case than shown by seller. That's great because we want to carry it sometimes on our bikes via a bike trailer. Peddle power variety as well as downsize on our 38 year old coleman two burner camp stove. We've loved the old coleman but this looks like it will be so much smaller the more we tend to lean towards the minimalist style. Just thrilled it weighs so little and packed into it's small case will be a nice neat package to store and carry both. People mentioned the case can be flimsy and break so it doesn't seem to bad but well take care in cold mornings and maybe make a soft side carry bag for it too. We ordered a 12 pack of the fuel cartridges here on line too. Cabellas prices for similar was outrageous starting with 20 or more for shipping on top of their normal shipping charges. So both stove and fuel were fantastic bargain. Once we've had a full summer using this gem if we don't run into any trouble we well order 3 more along with three sets of fuels for our annual holiday gifts for neice and nephew families who all love to tailgate at games and have family reunions in the summer...with all three burners going it's bound to be enough. Sometimes they go to parks not just their backyards.

"Didn't even know I was camping..." 2010-10-29
By Robert Hartman
Actually I did. This bag though made it so much easier. Temp got to about 40 degrees. I was very warm in this bag inside my tent. Very comfortable, easy to move around in and I am 6'2, 185 lbs. Being able to open up the foot end of the bag lets in some air if you get too hot inside. Only con is that it is big, not a bag you can backpack with, but for campsite use, it is perfect. Highly recommend.

"good dream" 2010-10-13
By Alejandro lopez aldrete
stay warm even the outside temperature is under 0 degrees Celsius, is certainly a good way to spend the night, perfect complement to your Vyvy, although it is not compact to pack, because it takes a good space in your backpack I think that there is no problem

"Convenient packaging" 2010-10-03
By N. Tulpule (Mountain View, CA)
We recently took these on a trip to Iceland. We slept in a van and only once did the temperature dip below 40 F so I can't really say much about its protection in extreme cold weather. But they were really comfortable and convenient. The carrying cases that come with it are useful too.

"Nice buy!" 2010-09-25
By Sandeep sripada
I did some extensive research before getting to this product. This sleeping bag is very good for the price you actually end up paying. I have looked at many other sleeping bags and also their reviews and this one definitely had the best ROI.

I would totally recommend this product.

Swiss Gear Crevasse 0-Degree Mummy Sleeping Bag (Rust/Orange)

PRICE
With a price tag of $48.88 with free shipping this bag is going to be hard to beat.Although the price tag doesn't mean much when your talking

about something as important as a sleeping bag it's hard to get a product of this caliber with all it's features in this value range. Now I'm not

about to say that this is the best sleeping bag I have ever used and/or tested but let me just say that it is defiantly worth the money. Trust me

when I say that this piece of gear could easily sell for at least $150!

Description

The description on this page doesn't really offer to much information so I will try to fill in some of the left out information as best I can. First off

this bag only comes in orange/rust color. Not that the color really matters but just so your aware of it I thought I would put that down so there is

no confusion. The Swiss Gear Crevasse 0-Degree Mummy Sleeping Bag is a half zip up style bag. Basically this means that you can't open up

the bag and lay it flat on the ground. Personally I like this because the added zipper would add wight to the product and might add some unwanted

air circulation into the bag. It also has a foot cut out for "some" circulation when needed. That is one feature that may go over looked when reading

the description on amazon but to any person really interested in this bag you should know that. Also what you didn't read (and trust me when I say

that you will want to know this) there is a closing draw string inside the bag located at the chest area. This makes it even more efficient on 0-25 degree

nights. Locking in body heat is the most impotent aspect of a sleeping bag and this little draw string helps add you in that. The hood is a little big but

still performs well enough so that it's not really an issue, besides it also has a draw sting that helps out with that. Oh and yes this has outside pocket

that can fit a phone but thats really a wast of material and wight as far as I am concerned so I wont talk about that other then letting you know that it's

there.

Packaging

Well what they didn't tell you is that this bag does not come with an efficient stuff sack.So you will most likely have to buy an after-market one from someplace

else but thats not really a big deal because you can buy one for like $5. However this bag does come with a really nice "storage" sack and it's vary nice but

it's shape and size is just not what most of us are looking for when trying to carry this sleeping bag around. I am glade it came with the bag it did though

because now I have someplace to store it when it's not being used "at least at home".

Size     34 x 88

I am 5'll and it fits perfect but I am sure anybody up to 6 foot would be fine. Keep in mind though that if you are using this as a hiking bag that a new stuff sack

will be needed and this bag is 3 pounds and doesn't "stuff" down vary small so this will most likely be on the outside of your hiking bag. I have a bag that is 6,200 ci

and there is no way it would fit inside my bag while leaving room for my other gear. Outside however leaves me ALL my room!

Summery

All in all I think this is a great buy. Sure there are better ones on the market but not at this price range. If your looking for a good sleeping bag and don't want

to spend a whole lot of cash but don't want to sacrifice quality then look no further. This bag will keep you warm in 0 degree nights, cool on not so cold nights

and will not put a big hole in your pocket. I have tested this out on some recent hiking/camping trips and the bag has held it's own. It stayed dray during some

water testings and never failed to keep me warm. Buy it, use it, take care of it and I will see you on the trail!

"Great cover for airbed" 2010-04-17
By Judith Stefanac (Clinton Township, MI USA)
Although the cover may have been a little warm at first, since I sent it to my daughter in Florida, she has told me that it really is great and protects the entire bed. She also has cats and the cover protects the inflatable mattress from their nails.

"Good fit!" 2010-01-27
By CO Diver (Boulder, CO)
I also purchased the Deluxe 100% Cotton Damask Stripe Mattress Pad, Queen, so the thin bottom layer didn't much matter. Fit great on a 60x80x18 insta-bed and didn't creep up or slide all night. I only gave four stars because it doesn't have a tremendous amount of insulation and will likely require an additional blanket for tent camping.

My grown daughters really liked the queen airbed and my grandsons also. They took turns while they were visiting. I liked the easy setup and take down.

"Awsome" 2009-10-05
By Traci (Concord, CA United States)
I love this cover/sleeping bag combo. It worked awsome camping and everyone was jealous!!! The only thing is if you have two people in it there is not enough room. What I mean is the cover is tight and when you add another body it is like overstuffing a sandwich bag.

Only the top of this items is like a quilted sleeping bag the bottom is thin course fabric.

"great bag great service" 2010-06-26
By G. Wood (Port Townsend, WA USA)
I just wanted to say that this is a great bag for the money. The other review was spot on in that there are few bags under $100 that will provide the warmth that this bag does. We just purchased a matching set of high peak 0 deg bags and I was happy with it after our first night at around 40 deg, but my wife was cold and she is now the owner of this -40 deg bag. If she is cold the next time out I may just buy a goat she can sleep next to.

As for the service, it was perfect. Not only did [...] send it Fedex at their expense to get it to us as quickly as possible, they provided great follow-up on the order and added a free LED flashlight and a bag of sweet pea flower seeds to our delivery as a thank you - good business practice in a world that is usually far to busy to remember the importance of personal customer service.

Another great purchase from Amazon.

We highly recommend business with both Amazon, and their affiliation with people like the family owners of [...] goes a long way toward keeping Amazon as the go-to place for online shopping!

"very happy" 2010-02-03
By Jonathan Bodemann
I got this product yesterday, and wanted to test it out. I ordered two because we camp almost every weekend. So I set up Tent outside on my patio (while it was snowing) with my girlfriend. First let me start by saying there was no option for left or right side zipper, so I was VERY impressed to receive one left zipper one right. It was snowing and 20 degrees last night. I did not have a mat for the inside of my bag, but i used a foam one on the outside. I was very very warm. I am new to sleeping bags, and this is my first winter bag, let alone mummy bag. I had read the description and didn't realize what i draft tube was, or a chest collar.

The Chest collar helped immensly. it has a draw string on it, once you complete the circle around your neck with the velcro, you can close the gap to your neck, containing all the heat.

I am 6'2" and 200 pounds, (athletic) and I had plenty of room to move, I even could slide down in the bag more if I wanted, with around 6 or so inches of room. I remember thinking (wow my 6'6" brother could fit in here.)

The Draft tube along the zipper did its job, I felt no cool air seeping in.

The zipper was thick and tough, while it got caught a few times(i was messing around with it) it was pretty easy to go up and down without problems.

Where my head rested was extra cushion and was VERY comfortable, barley need a pillow.

The material is thick and comfortable, i would be comfortable out in the wilderness without any pads, it simply has alot of cushion.

The only thing I have to note - my face was freezing, so while the bag may go to wayyy lower temperatures, i feel as if I would not be able to, maybe im a wuss, then again i didnt pull the bag closed around my head. I simply rolled over in the bag and pushed my face into the bag and warmed up. (lol). I certainly will be using it all winter. I will probably experience colder temperatures in which case i will edit and see how it does around 0 degrees. I am pretty sure it will preform just as well.

Also for anyone who was wondering I was wearing sweat pants, and sweatshirt. Nothing under either, no socks. feet felt warm all night.

Let me tell you my main concern when first purchasing this product. PRICE

I saw -40 deg, and 100 dollars, seemed too good to be true. I ordered assuming I would return because the price was so low, I figured the material would be cheap, things would tear, and problems would erupt.

I was taken when the box came, I had known the bag was large and weighed more than most mummy bags. It rolls up to the size of old school sleeping bags that you tie the rope around (maybe a TAD smaller than them). So I would not exactly advise using it for backpacking. (i camp right out of my car or not far from it) So aside from the size and weight I would highly advise this bag.

"Create for a weekend trip" 2010-09-13
By leo
Used this bag twice to go camping/hiking. Had all the right pockets to fit all of my gear. The straps were comfortable and there was just enough space for all of my "just in case" items for this weekend trip. Looking back though, it was a tight fit, and maybe the next bigger size would be worth the money.

The only things I did not like about this bag were that there were loose straps everywhere once you got everything strapped in. It looked kind of messy, but it didn't bother me that much since hey, we're going camping, big deal. But I did look at the picture and my bag for awhile trying to figure out how they got it so neat, and mine looked so messy...? Another gripe I had was that the right shoulder strap kept coming loose after about 3 hours of hiking with a full pack. It was pretty annoying and I ended up having to tie a knot so it would not come loose again.

All in all, a good bang for your buck compared to comparable, more expensive bags out there.

"Great pack for the buck" 2010-07-09
By George
I went backpacking on superior hiking trail in Minnesota. The pack handled great on a four day 22 mile trip. There was plenty of room for all the items needed and additional items could be hung on the outside (such as a sleep mat, which is a must for the back). The shoulder and waist starp could be easily adjusted. If your a small size this pack is deffinetly not for you. I'm 32 and i had to nearly adjuted all the way. The rain tarp which is included came in very handy when heavy rain hit us. The only negative thing about this pack is if more pockets where available. I do recommend this for anyone in the medium size.

"Pack need better description" 2010-06-05
By Ronald F. Long (Walla Walla Wa. USA)
I purchased the pack as a extended weekend pack for my 19 year old son. He is 6'0" and weighs 220 lbs. This pack is listed as a 55 Liter pack. It is. It is well made and I will keep it for my wife. When he took it out of the box he tried it on. I looked at the packing materials. It is listed as a slim fit. It is for women and kids. It has a max waist of 32". This is not in the description. I wanted a full sized internal frame pack for him. The brochure that came with the pack clearly shows it as slim fit and lists the proportions. The ad does not. It would be great for youth and women, but I do not feel it is a good fit for adults. It is a good weekend pack and I am keeping it for my wife. The ad needs to show the brochure which clearly show High Sierra packs and who they fit and size.

"Solid backpack for less than $100" 2010-02-01
By E. Salas (San Francisco, CA)
I purchased this pack for a 3 day, 22-mile backpacking trip in Yosemite. The pack proved to be both reliable and comfortable with 45 pounds of gear stuffed into it. Comes with a spacious main compartment with an additional slot for a water bladder and complimenting guide to thread your mouth-piece through; plus, a lower compartment for a well-compressed sleeping bag is separated by a strong, zippered flap. The numerous straps/loops on the exterior creates almost limitless surface area for additional equipment. Additionally, a hidden pocket on the bottom hides away a sweet water proof cover for the pack in the event of a downpour.

The only real issue I found with this bag was its tenancy to loosen at the hip belt. For some reason, every half-hour or so, I found myself re-tightening the belt. Also, the shoulder harness anchor squeaks a bit.

All in all, for my first pack, I found this piece of equipment to be invaluable in what turned out to be a fantastic weekend backpacking through Yosemite.

"Adjustable EVERYTHING!" 2010-01-25
By K. D. Kaszynski (Costa Mesa, CA)
Everything on this pack is adjustable! I got it for my boyfriend so he can join me on some backpacking adventures and it is perfect for his size (5'10 and 180lbs), and just about any other size since EVERTHING IS ADJUSTABLE! There's a lot of usable space and it is fairly light (not carbon fiber light, but it's pretty light for the size). The only reason this pack didn't get the five star rating from me is that it's not as light as it could be, but that's sometimes what happens when you use the thicker threading (which is more durable) and put in that back padding that this pack seems to have a lot of. The boyfriend says it is comfortable, so there you have it!
